There's a fun HOP to inspire you and tons of prizes too!
Welcome to my blog, the place where I share my love of stamping and paper crafting. I'm an independent Stampin' Up!® demonstrator in the USA. Today is a special day for those of us who enjoy a good cuppa' joe -- it's National Coffee Day! I'm pretty partial to its cousin, National Donut Day as well!
Here's my ode to National Coffee Day 2020:
I was inspired by The Paper Pixie to create this simple greeting card perfect for a gift card! I used the new Press On stamp set by Stampin' Up!®, some Plaid Tiding Designer Series Paper, and In Color 2020-2022 Enamel Dots in Cinnamon Cider to match the ink. Here's a look at the interior:
I'll leave the simple how-to's below, in case you'd like to make a few of these for your coffee loving friends!
If you'd like to win the Press On stamp set, I'm giving away a stamp set of your choice valued at $25 or less from my online store! Just leave a comment below telling me your "favorite coffee spot" (or tea, hot chocolate, etc.) and you'll be entered into my random drawing. It's that simple. Commenting will close on Tuesday, October 6 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific. The Winner will be posted on my Facebook Page on Friday, October 9. I'd appreciate it if you went ahead and LIKED my page while you're there!
Here's How I Made It:
- Card base is 4-1/4" x 11", scored at 5-1/2" and 2-1/2", then fold and burnish score lines.
- Cut a piece of Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper (DSP) to 4" x 6"; trim down to 4" x 2-1/4", 4" x 2-3/4", and 4" x 3/4". There will be just a thin strip left.
- Adhere a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock to the interior of the card. Adhere the 4" x 3/4" strip of DSP to the bottom of this piece. With Cinnamon Cider ink, stamp the Row of To Go Cups just above the DSP strip and then the Coffee sentiment just above that.
- Fold card front on the score lines to form the interior pocket. Before applying adhesive to the sides to create this pocket, adhere the 4" x 2-1/4" piece of DSP. Use a 1" circle punch to cut a half-circle at the center of the open end, allowing you to grasp the gift card you'll insert later. Now adhere the sides and create the pocket using strong adhesive such at Tear & Tape Adhesive. Finish the pocket by stamping "A Cup of Thanks" sentiment onto a coordinating cardstock flag and adhere to the upper left corner of the pocket.
- Lastly, adhere the 4" x 2-3/4" piece of DSP to the front. Stamp in Cinnamon Cider ink and then fussy cut two (2) of the larger To Go Cup image. Adhere them at a jaunty angle to the card front. Embellish with a couple In Color 2020-2022 Enamel Dots in Cinnamon Cider.
Please check out the rest of the hop -- thanks for stopping by and raise a cuppa' today!
