Here's my first MAKE IT MONDAY card...
You can't make a bad card with this suite!
This gorgeous card really packs a punch when it comes to design, and the good news is that it's not difficult to make!
Floating Bottom Card:
- Start with a Just Jade card base that measures 5-1/2" x 6-1/4" and scored at 4-1/4". Fold and burnish with your bone folder.
- Cut another strip of Just Jade cardstock that measures 1" x 5-1/2".
- Trim your selected DSP to 5-3/8" x 1-7/8" and another that measures 7/8" x 5-3/8". Adhere the larger strip to the "top flap" of your card base and the smaller strip to the other strip of cardstock.
- Use the Stitched Nested Labels dies and cut a Just Jade shape from the die that is about 3-1/4" (point to point) and a Whisper White shape from the die that is about 2-3/4" (point to point). Adhere the Whisper White shape to the center of the Just Jade shape. Place adhesive on the back of this die cut shape at the top and bottom only. This piece will be used to bridge the smaller cardstock strip to the card front, creating that Floating Bottom effect. This is achieved by laying the smaller strip at the bottom of the folded card base, then place the Stitched Nested Labels die shape toward the left side and connect the top and bottom pieces.
- Stamp and die cut several of the greenery images using various green inks, then layer these on top of the Stitched Nested Labels die shape. Add a bow with Just Jade ribbon.
- Adhere a 4" x 5-1/4" Whisper White piece to the interior of the card. With the card front closed, stamp the sentiment "You Can Do This" into the open area on the right side. Finish the card with three Just Jade In Colors Enamel Dots. I also added to the interior another stamped and die cut stem of greenery.
